Even if you aren’t exactly a fan of teen-drama movies, it has to be said that the 00s was an incredible decade for them.

Year after year we were blessed with some of the best, most relatable films (if you were a teenager at the time) and we’re low-key still obsessed with them.

Check out all the best 00s movies that we will continue to obsess over until the end of time…

1. New York Minute (2004)

Mary-Kate And Ashley were the ultimate 00s “It-Girls” with several teen-drama movies to their names. Although we could include them all in this list, New York Minute was the one that marked their big-budget milestone!

2. Raise Your Voice (2004)

This was one for all of going through our “emo” stage – Hilary Duff really showed us her darker side whilst still showcasing her musical talents.

3. 13 Going On 30 (2004)

This movie gave us all hope that our teenage angst would eventually disappear at 30…and then we’d be in a world full of brand new drama!

4. Confessions Of A Teenage Drama Queen (2004)

This was the ultimate teen-drama as you can probably tell from the movie title – we were so jealous of Lindsay Lohan’s life in this film, she really seemed to have it all. This movie also saw a young Megan Fox as the signature “mean girl.”

5. A Cinderella Story (2004)

Probably the most unrealistic story of them all but we can’t get over how romantic and dreamy and funny this film was. Hilary Duff and Chad Michael Murray were a match made in heaven!

6. Freaky Friday (2003)

We adored rebellious Lindsay Lohan in this hilarious teen-drama and with Chad Michael Murray as her love interest – we couldn’t  help but become obsessed…

7. The Lizzie McGuire Movie (2003)

This movie followed on from the iconic Disney Channel TV show and we would gladly still watch it nowadays. This marked the era that Hilary Duff became a certified teen-star and we would watch absolutely anything that she appeared in.

8. Crossroads (2002)

Sure, we watched this film because pop princess Britney Spears starred in it, but we loved it because of the heartwarming storyline and the awesome road trip the characters go on!

9. Bend It Like Beckham (2002)

This was a signature sleepover movie that you’d watch with all your friends and see Keira Knightley pre-Pirates Of The Caribbean.

10. Save The Last Dance (2001)

It is fair to say that this movie paved the way for the 00s dance-movie trend and although you might love Step Up, this original was definitely the best.

11. Legally Blonde (2001)

This awesome movie might be seen as a teen-drama but it was actually super empowering – we should all live our lives like Elle Woods.

12. The Princess Diaries (2001)

This is an absolute classic that made Anne Hathaway the A-List actress that she is today – we definitely all wanted to become princess of “Genovia” after watching this.

13. Coyote Ugly (2000)

Although we probably shouldn’t have watched this movie as kids since some of it is slightly inappropriate – how could we not?! That catchy LeAnn Rimes song, the cool bar dancing and the main character following her dreams were all great aspects.

14. Life-Size (2000)

This was the first of many teenage drama movies for Lindsay Lohan and it was definitely one of the best – every kid wanted their favourite doll to come to life!

15. Bring It On (2000)

This iconic teen movie gave us an insight into the dramatic life of American cheerleaders – although this might seem like a regular high school experience for people in the U.S, to us Brits it was an entirely new phenomenon!

16. Mean Girls (2004)

This has got to be the ultimate teenage-drama and we will never stop loving it (and quoting it at every possible opportunity.)

17. Angus, Thongs And Perfect Snogging (2008)

We couldn’t wait to see the movie version of Louise Rennison’s book series and it definitely did not disappoint – not only did we relate to Georgia and her friends, we too were completely and totally in love with Robbie (Aaron Johnson.)

18. Wild Child (2008)

Emma Roberts was amazing in this American/British crossover teenage movie. Moving from Malibu to a posh English all girls school is dramatic in itself, but these awesome characters created even more juicy storylines.

19. St. Trinians (2007)

This 00s film was definitely underrated – with badass female characters as the leads and a cameo from Russell Brand, how can you not love it?

20. She’s The Man (2006)

Along with Lindsay Lohan and Hilary Duff, Amanda Bynes completed the trio of ultimate 00s movie stars. This has to be the funniest movie of the 00s, both Bynes and Channing Tatum are hilarious.

21. High School Musical (2006)

Although we were probably a little too old to be watching it, HSM is and will always remain in our hearts as one of our favourite movies – don’t even lie, we know you can recite the words to every single song from all three movies!

22. John Tucker Must Die (2006)

We all loved this movie because instead of the girls fighting for a guys attention, the tables were turned and they grouped to destroy him instead!

23. Aquamarine (2006)

Who doesn’t love a mermaid movie? We are still obsessed with this quirky flick that included Jojo’s acting debut (yet another 00s legend.)

24. The Perfect Man (2005)

This adorable movie was one of Hilary Duff’s lesser-known projects but should definitely be considered one of her best. The unique twist was a refreshing change to the usual teenage-romance storyline.

25. The Sisterhood Of The Travelling Pants (2005)

This incredible teen-drama showcased several A-List actresses including America Ferrera (Ugly Betty), Blake Lively (Gossip Girl) and Alexis Bledel (Gilmore Girls). Out of every 00s teen movie, this one showed us the ultimate female friendship goals!
