This year seems to be the year of the ’90s comeback.

First it was Raven, then Roseanne and it’s now been announced that Will & Grace is also returning to our TV screens.

Earlier this week the moment comedy fans have been waiting for finally arrived when a full-length trailer for new episodes of the show was released.

Watch the trailer below:

The 5 minute long clip features the four main characters-Will Truman, Grace Adler, Karen Walker and Jack McFarland and has got fans of the show super excited.

Within hours of being uploaded the video had been viewed over a million times.

The extended video shows Messing, who plays Grace, being reluctant to return to the show, worrying that things would not be the same after 10 years off the air.

However after some persuasion through song and dance from her fellow cast mates she agrees to join the show again.

The original creators of the show, David Kohan and Max Mutchnick are also back for the ninth series as well as the executive producer James Burrows.

The cast first teased a comeback in 2016 when they came together to film a 10-minute election special urging people to vote.

Earlier this year Megan Mullally spoke to UK talk show Loose Women about the forthcoming reboot, joking that Karen would be married to President Donald Trump.

She said: “In the States, they’ve never brought a show back – the same exact show [with the] same cast, same director, same lighting designer,” she explained, before adding that she believes the show will continue to be “progressive.” “The main priority is to have it be funny, and then I think it just goes from there.”

When asked what she thought her character Karen would be doing in 2017, she quipped: “People would ask me, ‘What do you think Karen will be doing now?’ I think she’ll be married to Donald Trump.”

NBC’s president Jennifer Stalke has talked about her excitement for the revival.

She said: “The fact that all four of the original stars were excited about getting back into production is a testament to the joyful experience they had doing nearly 200 episodes for eight seasons. Few things cut through the clutter these days, especially in comedy, and Will & Grace is one of the best.”

While there is no release date yet, we do know that fans will be getting 12 more episodes of their favourite comedy.
