Fans of Saved By The Bell are not going to want to miss this – a diner themed ’90s teen sitcom coming to Los Angeles later this year.
“Saved by the Max” will have colourful booths, neon signs and old-school arcade games.
The themed restaurant was previously situated in Chicago, but announced it’s move on Instagram earlier this week.
The post read: “The Max returns to Bayside! After a sold out year in Chicago, Saved By The Max is headed to Los Angeles, CA. next!”
The diner is going to be serving dishes based on the show’s characters including Bayside Burgers, Preppy BLTs, Kelly Kapowski monte cristos, A.C. Sliders, Mac and Screeches and Tori’s fried chicken and waffles.
“The journey of Saved by The Max never fails to amaze us,” Derek Berry one of the restaurant partners said in a press release.
“To see it evolve from fan idea turned overnight social media craze, to an entire sold out year of operations in Chicago, and now coming full circle with a move to the show’s hometown of LA is nothing short of a dream come true for us all. It’s a real testament to the enduring popularity and legacy of the show.”
The Chicago pop-up saw stars from the show making appearances including Mr. Belding (Dennis Haskins), A.C. Slater (Mario Lopez) and the Max himself (Ed Alonzo).
Haskins has already tweeted a tease about the upcoming LA store.

If the pop-up is to be anything like the Chicago version it will be hosting a variety of ticketed events such as costume comps, karaoke, trivia and dance parties.
The official opening date and ticket information haven’t been announced yet, but be sure to keep up with them on social media
